Smoky spiced nuts

A delicious mix of hazelnuts, walnuts and cashews, these smoky spiced nuts are irresistibly moreish.

Ingredients

  • 50 g hazelnuts*
  • 50 g walnut halves or pieces*
  • 75 g cashews*
  • 1.5 tablespoon sunflower or vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 130°C (fan)/150°C/gas mark 2.
  • Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
  • Place 50g hazelnuts, 50g walnuts and 75g cashew nuts into a bowl.
  • Add 1.5 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp ground cumin, ½ tsp black pepper and 1 tsp sea salt.
  • Mix well and spread out onto your prepared baking tray.
  • Place in the preheated oven and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, stir then cook for a further 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
  • Store in an airtight container.

Notes

  1. You can sub other nuts such as almonds, brazil nuts or pecan nuts.
